Hallucinations

Sometimes AI makes up things that sound true but are completely false. These are called "hallucinations." For example, it might invent a quote, a book that doesn't exist, or give wrong information with total confidence. This happens because AI doesn't truly "know" things — it just predicts the most likely words. To limit this problem, you can give it reliable sources to check, verify its answers, or use techniques like RAG.
